Fashion at the Grammys
February 2nd, 2010The 2010 Grammy Awards was more about just honoring the best of the music world, it was also about fashion. There were both good and bad fashion choices made by the celebrities, as well as some that just can’t be decided either way.
The most memorable (and controversial) outfits were the ones worn by Lady Gaga, the new music and fashion diva of the world. Many people would describe her taste in “costumes” as brilliant, while others would beg to differ. She appeared on the red carpet in a lavender gown by Giorgio Armani that was encircled with, what can only be described as, a solar system, while glittering platform shoes/boots and yellow-colored hair completed the costume.
For her performance, Gaga started out in a nude-colored outfit, which covered her face as well, and then changed into a green jeweled leotard with huge shoulder pads, which she loves. The outfit showed a lot of her bottom side, but it was made complete with matching boots and glittering eye patches of a deep pink. Afterward, she changed into a white mini dress covered with diamonds, but the kick to this one was that it was curved at the back to look as though she accidentally got her frock stuck in her knickers.
Many other celebrities took to the red carpet and stage looking their best, while Britney Spears kind of face planted. She showed up at the Grammys in a sheer lace Dolce & Gabbana dress, which was worn over a black bodysuit. Really not what a mother should be wearing – it may have worked out better in her younger years. This was probably one of the worst outfits seen at the event, although some of the other celebrities were cutting it close.
