Katie Price, Cheryl Cole, and Lindsay Lohan are off the tanning chart, literally. The trio of stunners has been named as just some of the many celebrities who have used fake tanning services, with the results occasionally being a disaster.

The new Debenhams ‘Tan Tone Colour chart’, which looks remarkably like a painting colour guide, has been put together to help those addicted to getting some colour avoid ending up either florescent of overly coloured, which the likes of Cole, Price and Lohan can all admit to. Other notable celebrity tanners include Alex Reid, Dale Winton and wrestler Hulk Hogan.

The Beauty Halls of the leading high street retailer have recently been revamped to match the change of season, and welcome a new round of tanners while providing them with the best solutions to they’re pale pores. Now customers can identify where they place on the tanning chart, which ranges from ‘pale and interesting’ up to ‘radioactive orange’, with Alex Reid’s latest effort a good example of the latter, while Nicola Roberts has been suggested as typifying the former.

Director of Beauty at Debenhams, Sara Stern, claimed this summer was all about looking bronzed, but that research by her team had found that a high 70 per cent of DIY tanners get it wrong. Unsurprisingly, says Stern, the three major sins committed were using too much product, choosing the wrong tone for their skin and applying to frequently.

The lead up to the so far blessedly pleasant British summer saw Debenhams fake tan sales soar by around 64 per cent, as people rushed to give themselves a base tan to go on holiday with, in keeping with the historical irony of the trend for using tanning products when the sun comes out.

The most popular brands of fake tanning products are Clarins, Lancaster Sun, St Tropez, Fake Bake, Xen Tan and Famous Dave’s. Stern also said that they had started stocking tan remover from St Tropez, making the analogy with a paint shop even more poignant.

It appears that Lindsay Lohan is starting to rethink her career after having trouble getting acting work and allegations that she’s financially troubled. She has become more famous for her erratic behavior in public than anything else, but maybe this will all change with her fashion line (or so we hope)!

According to reports, the young actress is adding new items to her fashion collection 6126, which only sells leggings right now. Now Lohan will create more clothes, handbags and other accessories.

For the handbags, she will use the California Bag Company, the same licensee that produces for the Ed Hardy line of Christian Audigier. The company is said to be planned to produce bags for 6126 over the next 3 years. For the look of the bags, she has called on designer Paz Shakked Worlf, who has worked for Dolce & Gabbana.

The line will also include tops that she will design to match her leggings range. This will make for 280 available looks total.

It’s great that Lohan is finally doing something productive – other than doing drugs and causing drama in public. However, her last venture in the fashion industry, where she acted as the artistic adviser of Ungaro, didn’t end up too good. She left the company after just 1 year when her collection was slammed by a lot of critics. So a 3-year deal may be too much of a commitment for her.

But although we expect Lohan to fail yet again, there’s always hope. So good luck, Lindsay, at trying to make something happen!

The LAPD has voiced their concern over the mental health of Lindsay Lohan, even though she continues to insist that she is healthy and stable. These are the same officers that have seen the 23-year-old actress during her low moments and have reportedly expressed their want to force her to get help.

According to reports, police officers that have routinely come in contact with Lindsay during late night and early morning partying encounters say that they are worried about her attitude and erratic behavior. Authorities became so concerned one night after she was partying that they talked about taking her in for a 5150 evaluation. They decided against it, because she didn’t fit all the criteria and could still take care of herself.

On the night in question here, Lindsay was seen leaving a LA party with a puff of white powder coming from the heel of her shoe. This has led many people to think that she was carrying cocaine.

Even Lindsay’s family and friends have become more concerned in recent months, as her stability has reportedly worsened. Aside from the worry of drugs leading to her death, her friends are also concerned about rejections she keeps getting for work and at a-list parties. One friend exclaimed that she will die if she doesn’t get help soon.

Lindsay, however, says that she is not having any trouble functioning at all. She revealed that she is working and healthy – a statement that came after a report alleged that Lindsay needs to clean up her before she ends up killing herself.

Lindsay Lohan created a little of a stir when she didn’t show at Paris Fashion Week on Monday for the showcase of Emanuel Ungaro. Although the troubled actress had been appointed adviser of the collection last summer, owner Asim Abdullah said that she wasn’t involved in the fall 2010 collection.

It was then reported on Tuesday that Lohan is no longer working with the collection…period. Now she will be able to do what she does best – go to shows and party at nightclubs into all hours of the night.

At one of the other shows on Monday, Lohan was asked why she didn’t go to Ungaro’s show. She said that it was because she doesn’t work for them anymore. Then she added that there are legal issues going on, but she can’t really talk about. Wonder if she is being investigated for mysteriously stolen items again?

Everyone wondered if Lohan being appointed to the label was a good idea when she was first signed on. Although she didn’t look very good when presenting the collection last season, the clothes got a lot of hype, whether it was good or bad. The bottom line is that Ungaro got attention, and this season it doesn’t look like they will get as much without her.

The label’s newest collection has been described as fine and cute, but there’s nothing special about it. The clothes have also been said to look like fashion that flooded the mass market years ago. Maybe when these legal issues are cleared up, Ungaro will get the attention back by collaborating with Lohan again.

Dame Helen Mirren has said that she would like to produce her own fashion line upon retiring from acting. The British actress, well known for her role as Queen Elizabeth in The Queen, said that she would like to have the chance to do something different outside of acting and mentioned designing her own clothes as a way to get away from acting.

Currently starring in the new period drama The Last Station, Dame Helen is playing Sofya Tolstoy, wife to the infamous Russian writer, in the romantic film. Helen was interviewed at the premiere of her movie in London, and said that she could not wait to begin designing her own range of clothing. She even joked that she would get out her sewing machine.

The Oscar winner, 64 years old, said, jokingly, that she would even consider working for the US fashion reality show ‘Project Runway’ hosted by Heidi Klum. The starlet would not be the first actress to break into the fashion industry. Jennifer Lopez has had a long running fashion line, and recently Lindsay Lohan just debut her own line of leggings. The young actress also starred on the sixth season of ‘Project Runway’ as a guest judge.

The actress’ announcement comes during Fashion Week going on in Paris. Dame Helen Mirren is in London promoting her new film, The Last Station.
